Match Preview:
Having failed to defend a target of 206 in their last game, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be desperate to find solutions to their bowling woes as they take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday.
RCB might well go back to 2015 if they are to remember a season where they had a proper death bowler – Mitchell Starc. Since then, their bowling has been a talking point in every game irrespective of the number of runs scored by their star-studded batting line-up. The omission of Tim Southee continues to baffle people given his execution skills at the death and who knows what would have been the case had it been him and not Corey Anderson, who bowled the last couple of overs against Chennai.
As the pressure of a trophy drought mounts, RCB will be desperate to get favorable results. There is no doubt that the pressure would be on them and not the Knight Riders. However, KKR will know that there would be no room for complacency, given the way the Delhi Daredevils played against them in the last game. Another high scoring match should be on the cards!
